Time for a Survey

We are in the process of purchasing equipment for 2Brews and we need a little help. To meet the hunger needs of those choosing to fellowship at 2Brews (as well as fulfill a requirement of the state) we will need to serve food along with our fine beverages. Because our calling is not to be a restaurant, per se, we will concentrate on one food type and purchase the applicable equipment. There are two possibilities in the running.

1.)New York Style Deli Sandwiches. Good quality bread would hold together a huge mound of quality cold cuts with all the desired fixens. A crisp dill pickle and a bag of chips would probably round out the order.

2.)Personal sized pizzas. From joe sixpack's favorite cheese and pepperoni to something a little more interesting like Goat cheese and shitaki mushrooms (and everything in between) the pizzas would be hot fresh and the perfect size guaranteed to satisfy even a strong appetite.

Let us know which sounds the best to you. If you have another idea, thats great, we want to hear it - but while your at it give us a vote #1 or #2.

I'm leaning toward the sandwiches...

Good luck!

My vote is 100% towards the sandwiches. You can be creative and have some great combinations. Everyone serves pizza type products, but very few serve high quality NY Deli sandwiches.

every coffe shop does sandwhich soup etc u guys should do pizzas cuz ur diffrent and diffrent is good and nessary

my vote between the two - number 2 - pizza. pizza goes anytime of day any season of year. when it's cold outside who wants a cold sandwhich? And when it's hot outside I'll still be eating your pizza

At first I thought "New York Deli Sandwich"...can't go wrong with a corned beef on rye, but the more I thought about it, there might be a shelf life issue. Maybe the pizzas then.

Voting for the Pizzas- with a couple of opionions, the crust needs to be a nice hand tossed style, maybe offering wheat, and a gluten free option... If you have pizza that seem frozen, it will be a loser...I have lots of suggestions for toppings, a caramelized onion , baby gouda is a winner! Fresh basil, EVOO, Garlic and fresh mozzerella! YUM! When do you open!?? I would also suggest the waffle Idea that Kyle talked about, had them at the Beehive and they rocked! You could have sweet and savory toppings for the waffles!!

Ok - you said other suggestions. I think sandwhiches and pizza have both been done too much in Columbiana.... maybe something more unique. (I agree with Chel - if you go with pizza it needs to unique to Columbiana - the crust for sure; maybe "wood fired")

My friend has always thought crepes could go. They aren't as difficult to make as they sound. And you can do sweet and savory. Dessert or meal. Like a portabella spinach and feta filled; or peaches and cream, etc. (but I don't think you have to worry about dessert with beer; dessert with coffee - yes. So Kyle and waffles is a good idea. Waffles are not hard.

Man I'm hungry now.

Me too Dave! I just had Crepes at the Beachwood mall! I had a "chunky monkey"! It was a crepe with peanut butter a fresh bannana and dark chocolate chunks in it! They also had savory fillings, and other sweet options with nutella, and fruit! The process was fun to watch as well, The crepe chef makes them while you are watching and they smell great and they take a couple of minutes each...Good thought Dave!

I say sandwiches, but they also scare me a little. I know someone with experience in making sandwiches in Columbiana... and that experiment didn't work for her. But there may have been extenuating cirmcumstances...

btw, that other Sam is not me.
